Privacy Policy — NATURE

This policy applies to the NATURE Garmin Connect IQ watch face. NATURE has two listings on the Garmin Connect IQ Store: the free NATURE (the full watch face) and an optional paid NATURE Pro — an identical build for people who'd like to support development. They look and work the same; they differ only in the small technical detail described below. Other apps published by BIKINTULIS have their own policies — see the directory.

1. Who we are

BIKINTULIS is an independent developer of Garmin Connect IQ apps and watch faces. For questions about this policy, use the contact form.

2. Summary in plain language

• NATURE draws everything on your watch. Time, date, weather, activity stats, altitude, pressure and the animated scenes are all read and rendered on the device.
• The free NATURE includes one small extra: a background check that contacts the BIKINTULIS licence server about every 4 hours. It sends only an anonymous watch ID — never your name, email, location or activity data.
• The optional paid NATURE Pro makes no network or web requests and contacts no server — it requests no permissions at all.
• Either way, it asks for no name, email or account, and contains no advertising or analytics.

The data NATURE shows — weather, heart rate, steps, floors, calories, distance, altitude, pressure and battery — is read through Garmin's permission-free on-device interfaces and is only ever displayed locally. The two versions differ only in networking:

4. Data stored locally on the watch

NATURE stores only your display settings (chosen theme, plus format and colour options) in Garmin's per-app storage sandbox, accessible only to this watch face. The free version also caches its current licence verdict locally. Everything here is removed when you uninstall the watch face.

5. Data sent to a server

NATURE Pro (paid): none. It has no networking code and contacts no server — your weather, location, activity stats and settings never leave the watch.

The free NATURE includes a small background licence check. About every 4 hours it sends a single request to https://bikintulis.de/api/nature/license containing only:

• an anonymous watch identifier — a random-looking ID tied to your watch (not to you), the last 6 characters of which are also shown on the watch;
• an edition tag, an app code, the app version, and a licence duration value.

The server replies with your current licence status. That is the entire exchange. No name, email, account, location, GPS, heart rate or any activity/health data is ever sent, and the watch ID cannot be used to identify you personally.

6. What this watch face does NOT collect or send

• No name, email address, phone number, postal address, or account credential.
• No location or GPS data — NATURE does not read or transmit your position.
• No heart-rate, activity, weather or sensor data sent off the watch — these are shown locally only.
• No advertising or analytics SDKs of any kind.

7. Garmin Connect & your Garmin account

The watch face runs inside Garmin's Connect IQ platform. Garmin's own collection and use of data is governed by Garmin's policy at garmin.com/privacy. BIKINTULIS has no access to your Garmin account, your activities, or anything synced to Garmin Connect.

8. The bikintulis.de website

Separate from the watch face, when you use the bikintulis.de website itself:

• If you leave a comment or review, your name, email, rating and comment text are stored. Your name, rating and comment are published publicly after moderation; your email is never published.
• If you use the contact form, your name, email, subject and message are stored privately and used to reply to you. If you attach a photo or video (optional, up to 20 MB), it is stored on the BIKINTULIS server alongside the message and only viewable by the site owner via an authenticated admin panel. The attachment is deleted when the message is deleted.
• Your IP address is stored only as a salted SHA-256 hash (rate-limiting / spam prevention). The raw IP is not retained.
• Standard web-server access logs are kept up to 30 days.
• No cookies, no third-party analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels.

9. Legal basis (GDPR)

The paid version sends nothing to BIKINTULIS. For the free version, the only data we process is the anonymous watch ID and licence status, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the free licence and preventing abuse. Any website data (comments, contact messages) is processed on the basis of your consent, with IP hashes and server logs on the basis of legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

10. Data retention

• On the watch: your settings (and, for the free version, the cached licence verdict) are kept until you uninstall the face.
• Licence records: the anonymous watch ID and licence state are kept on the server while NATURE is offered, to operate the licence. They are not linked to your identity.
• Website comments: retained while NATURE is listed on this site.
• Contact messages: retained as long as needed to handle your enquiry, then deleted.
• Server access logs: up to 30 days.

11. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, or delete data we hold, withdraw consent, object to processing, or lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. For the watch face this only ever concerns the anonymous licence record (and any website comments/contact messages). To exercise any right, use the contact form — requests are answered within 30 days.

12. Security

• The paid version makes no network connections at all.
• The free version's licence check and any traffic to the bikintulis.de website use HTTPS.
• No payment data is ever handled by BIKINTULIS.

13. Children

NATURE is a general-purpose watch face, is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect any personal data from them (it collects no personal data from anyone).

14. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect new features or legal requirements. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest change. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
